May the Mom Force Be With You-Guest Post

I'm happy to have The Drama Mama on my blog today. I met her through Twitter and have enjoyed reading her blog and working with her on a few guest posts as well. Without further ado, here's The Drama Mama:)

I am an attention freak. There's another word used, but it's not quite accurate. I wouldn't do anything for attention--at least not anymore. Even when I was younger I had my limitations, but if standing on my head and singing the National Anthem got me attention, I'd be looking for the sign up sheet.

I'm sitting here grinning ear to ear as I watch "The Voice." I love the whole blind audition thing, then listening to the musicians fight over the person they've turned their chair around for. I can only imagine the ego boost and sense of esteem that the contestant receives over the bickering.

I know I for one would be over the moon if I had Blake, Christina, or Adam bickering over coaching me. I find myself stealing the silence belting out Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home" or a glass shattering screech of the highest note in Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" and browsing the internet for the dates of the next sign up.

No, I can't sing. Not anymore. Not since my hearing loss became too great to let me hear the notes right. (Can you say tone deaf,  anyone?) So I put myself in the shoes of each hopeful that takes the stage every night looking for their star.

I can relate to that euphoria they get from the attention. I just no longer crave it for myself. Now I am more than content to hole up in quiet corner somewhere and just write.

I do hope that my children experience this euphoria at least once in their lives. I really hope they experience that elation that they are one step closer to making all their dreams come true.

The Mommy Force is fierce in this one (me, ha!). I know my legacy lives beyond me. I am very blessed.

All About The Drama Mama: I’m a mom, a chauffeur, a coach, a cook, a waitress, a maid, and a writer. I like to laugh, especially since Life seems to throw A LOT of poop my way. I am loving life and so blessed to be able to stay at home. I blessed my children with blue eyes and an attitude. I'm all over the internet as well: Facebook, twitter, google +, StumbleUpon, and pinterest.
